Brief Bio: Betsy A. Riley is a multi-genre author, artist, and poet who uses several pen names. She grew up in Murray Kentucky, then worked more than three decades at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee before moving to Maryland to take a job with the Federal government. She began marketing her creative writing in 2011 and since has published poems, short stories, and artwork in periodicals and anthologies.
Fun Facts:
- Betsy was the Presidential Scholar from Kentucky in 1970, and has a bronze medal from Richard M. Nixon.
- Betsy and her husband Ken owned and operated a ballroom dance studio in Knoxville for several years.
- Betsy has danced a solo twist onstage with Chubby Checker, and shared a podium with the poet laureate of Tennessee.
